Stan Veit is one of the pioneers of the Personal Computing Revolution. In Feb, 1976 he opened the Computer Mart of New York in rented space in Polk's Hobby Department store on New York's Fifth Ave. The Computer Mart sold Imsai 8080, Sphere 6800 and South West Technical Products M6800 computers. It also sold the complete line of Processor Technology boards for the S-100 bus. This was the first store in the world that sold more than one type of personal computer. It was also the third Apple Dealer.
After several years in the retail business and upon publication of several books, Stan Veit left the retail business and became the Computer Editor of Popular Electronics Magazine for Ziff Davis. When the magazine changed to Computers & Electronics, Stan became Technical Editor. In 1982 Stan left Ziff Davis and became the founding Editor-In-Chief of Computer Shopper Magazine
