I am Nithin Lakshmana. I am a post graduate student in Tallinn Univeristy (http://www.tlu.ee/?LangID=2) Estonia.
My interest is to study the challenges of OER adaptability in developing nations particularly in the elementary education level. I strongly believe that education system across the world will slowly move towards online learning and self learning with the vast availability of free, unrestricted and open educational resources on the internet. There are more copyright free educational resources available online now than there was a decade ago and there is also a steady increase in the self learners.

As a part of my post graduation thesis, I have designed and conducted a semi synchronous 4 week online course on OER introducing OER to school teachers from developing nations. This course concluded on May 2, 2011.
