Hi! My name is Meredith McGuirt and I am 22 years old. Here is a little piece of what I am all about...
For starters I am in school at UNC Charlotte and I work a part-time job at Hickory Grove Daycare; both of which take up a lot of my time. I have always wanted to teach and cannot wait to finish this degree! I am engaged to be married in May of 2009 and love spending time with my finance. I also enjoy hanging out with my family and friends whenever I have a free moment...which doesn't seem to be often these days. I attend Kinetic Church and love Jesus with all of my heart! I am realizing more everyday what a blessing this life is. Every breath is a gift; everyday a new beginning.

Growing my relationship with Jesus, date nights with Justin, having fun and meaningful conversations over a nice cup of Starbucks coffee (decaf please!), being crazy with Lyss and Blair, spending time with friends, making *new* friends, playing with kids, scrapbooking (when I have time), organizing, cleaning (yes, i love it!), and the list could probably go on and on.

I know that teacher education programs are different in other countries than they are here in the United States. There are certain "concentrations" in both our country and the countries we are working with, however, the subject material is differet. |
I want to learn the difference between our teacher education program here in the U.S. compared to those is Bulariia and Germany. How many years does it take to complete a degree? Do you have to chose a major by a certain time? How do you choose your concentration and what does it require? |
