Review Board
User:Xenon previously started a Review Board page at the Wikiversity multi-lingual hub. Today I did some editing of the material started by Xenon. A major remaining task is to edit the Scope of Research page. I would like to provide examples of the types of research activity that have been started here in the English Language Wikiversity during the past six months.
Hopefully the Scope of Research page can be positive in its tone, rather than concerned with types of research that are not wanted. It will probably be useful to link to Portal:Research from the policy page, but I need to take the time to also link to specific research projects that provide good examples.
It would be nice if we could spread the word to the Wikiversity websites in other languages (German, Spanish, French) and get some input from them on the research policies.
The big issue that is being put off for the future is formal peer review of "wiki format publications". Hopefully people such as User:Wvogeler will help get the first "wiki journal" going for Wikiversity. An astronomy journal would fit well with the many astronomy projects started by User:Mu301 in the Observational astronomy area. Wiki Scholar might attract more participants from a wider base.
Xenon started Wikiversity:Referees. I have to remember to get back to that after the Beta policies are in line.
