Hey everyone!! I am very excited about working with everyone on this international project. As I said on the discussion board, I went to Auburn University for two years, and now I am back in Charlotte finishing up my Education degree. I hope to graduate in December of '09. I love working with kids and can not wait to teach them the fundamentals they will use for their entire lives. I currently babysit regularly as well as work at a barn riding horses for people. I look forward to getting to know everyone through this project. If you would like to know anything else about me, just let me know!!!

WHAT I KNOW	WHAT I WANT TO KNOW	WHAT I LEARNED
I know that first grade students rely heavily not only on their parents' response to their progress but more importantly their teachers'. It is very important that at such a young age children get positive reinforcement. First graders are just beginning to grow into their own and being with the same teacher day in and day out builds an uncomparable bond.	Since there is such an emotional attachment formed between teachers in students during the learning years, why dont have students remain with their same teacher for the first few years of primary education as to work off of that relationship? *Does every first grade teacher have an emotional influence on all of their students? I would like to find out the students' reactions and responses to their first grade teachers before the year begins and once it is comlete.	Insert Your text here.
