I am Andras K. Szakal a retired full professor. I taught microscopic anatomy and immunology at Virginia Commonwealth University at the Medical School(MCV)and the Dental School for a little over 26 years. Before working at MCV, I worked at Oak Ridge National Laboratory where I received my Ph.D. trough Oak Ridge Associated Universities (University of Tennessee). My research interest focused on immunobiology of aging using electron microscopy and a variety of functional methods. Presently, I am a part time researcher.

I love working with Follicular Dendritic Cells using electron microscopy.

I love painting and playing tennis.
