Hi Everyone, I am Ashley Graham. I am an Elementary Education Major at the University of North Carolina at Charlotte. I can be contacted at amgraham@uncc.edu. I am very excited about this project! I hope you are as well. Just to let you know a little about myself, I have traveled outside of the USA a few times. A few of my favorite places would be England, Holland, France, Belgium and Spain. Unfortunatly, my experience in Germany was limited to the airport. I hope to visit again soon! It will be a pleasure to work with everyone! Good luck!

- I know that teachers DO have an emotional influence on first graders. An emotional influence that I believe is very important in the development of the child.

- What triggers the emotional influence between the child and the teacher?
- How long after the school year beings does the student realize their emotional attachement with their teacher( I am sure this varies of course)?
- Does every first grade teacher have an emotional influence on all of their students?

- I have learned that criticism can be either very helpful or detrimental on a student. In order for a teacher to get their point across to a student they must remember that POSITIVE criticism is the only way to go.
