UQV (Ultimate Questioner’s Vanity) theory
From Wikiversity
The UQV (Ultimate Questioner’s Vanity) theory, authored by Kedar Joshi, is a philosophical theory which states that the material universe was created by a creator in order to ask the author of the theory a paradoxical question about the nature of the creator’s existence. And that the process of answering the question progressively quenches the creator’s vanity – the creator’s desire for admiration of his strengths and particularly the subtle nature of his existence. The paradoxical question is supposed to be the ultimate philosophical question, the question that “how can the creator be uncreated and at the same time be (logically) unnecessary?”. The creator, who is supposed to be the ultimate being and also the one asking the ultimate philosophical question, is regarded as the ultimate questioner.
The UQV theory has 1 postulate, 1 law, and 3 conjectures. The postulate states that the NSTP (Non – Spatial Thinking Process) theory is true. The law states that Indian/Vedic astrology is true. Conjecture 1 and 2, which are based on the postulate and the law, speculate that the creator of the material universe and the author of the theory are the only entities that exist in the material universe, with a possible exception of the superhuman thoughts, the ones which the NSTP theory conjectures. This metaphysics is called “semi-solipsism”, since unlike (proper/pure/true) solipsism it conjectures existence of few non-spatial mental entities in addition to the author of the theory. Conjecture 3 finally speculates that the reason behind the creation of the universe is the ultimate questioner’s vanity, for that – vanity – could be the only reason the creator would be interested in asking the question since he knows already if the question is going to be answered or not.
