Changing the name of this article[edit source]

Having a Topic:Reading groups is not quite what I understand the Topic namespace to be about, which is to "organize learning resources related to a single academic topic area". (see: Wikiversity:Topics. I'd argue that its just confusing the subject and that anything here of relevance should be moved to Portal:Reading groups then the page deleted. You are right. A page about the Diamond Age reading group has to be created though, so i hope you want to give Mirwin some time to create such a page.Daanschr 21:18, 3 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]
I changed the name without consulting John. He started this article. It appears to be a content development page according to a redirect page. Perhaps it is better to change it back to a topic. In future i hope we can focus our attention more on reading and discussing instead of organizing.--Daanschr 08:40, 4 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Daanschr: I agree ... but one of my main issues with WV is that there are way too many pages about what projects are, what WV is, what this, what that, topic this, school that, etc... As soon as we can get the info on this page into other pages lets delete this page and focus on Portal:Reading groups instead of having too many distributed discussions. We can use the Discussion page on the Portal for the type of info that is currently on this page. Then we'll start reading :-) Countrymike 23:06, 4 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]
There are only two pages dedicated to reading groups. The portal could serve in the future as a page with information for new users, while the topic page could serve as a page for organizing reading groups and giving aditional information on groupactivity. We first need more participants in order to make this sense all together.Daanschr 10:11, 5 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Meeting in the weekend of 21 to 23 december[edit source]

Mike proposed to meet on a certain time. And i am in favour of it. Perhaps 22.00 'o clock tomorrow CET? CET is Central European Time (+1 GMT), the time zone of me, Erkan and Anne. I don't know in which time zone Mike lives.--Daanschr 09:40, 21 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Would be ok for me, I will tell Sundance also to post here. ----Erkan Yilmaz (Wikiversity:Chat, wiki blog) 16:30, 21 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]
