Topic talk:A level History
To gain an A level wouldn't you also have to take units in AS history first? Also you may not be aware that GCE courses are chsnging from Sep 2008. All exam boards are issuing new course specifications. Currently 3 units at AS level equates to an AS level and an additional 3 at A2 equates to an A level. From Sep 2008 this will change to 2 at each level and as a result current units will all be changing. I intend the courses I have added to the page to be a learning resource for myself and any fellow Wikischolars studying or desiring to study A level History. I will be taking a course in A2 History and will develop Wikiversity material from that. However, my course does not start until September, and there are issues with copyright and plagiarism I need to deal with, so this may be slow in coming. Dev920 15:26, 27 August 2006 (UTC)
- How's this coming along? A question of clarification—is this intended to be a Department? If it's going to be a single lesson, it doesn't belong in the Topic: namespace. After looking at it again, it seems like you're intending to create a series of study guides for A-level History courses. That would probably be fine; I'm thinking the School (of History) may want to create a specific Division or Department to contain "study guide"-style courses, organized by academic format [ie., British A-level; US AP; Canadian CEGEP, etc.] The Jade Knight 00:03, 8 October 2006 (UTC)
- I never got round to it, because I didn't know how to go about it. like so much of Wikiversity, it seemed like a fantastic idea, but the nitty gritty is kinda vague. I am beginning a new module in January, so I am well placed to create a new course, I just don't know how to do it... Dev920 04:12, 28 December 2006 (UTC)
