REALbasic 2008 is a language with a medium sized community. It is a Rapid Development Language, which means that it takes less time and previous experience. REALbasic is a good language to start out with.

  • Possession of a copy of REALbasic (2000 series)
  • Understanding of basic computing concepts in Mac OS, Windows, or Linux.

The compiler has a lovely tutorial and quick-start guide in the documentation folder that comes with it.
