Polymers can be divided into natural polymers such as DNA, proteins and cellulose, and technical polymers such as polyethylene and teflon. Technical polymers are for example used in plastics, fibers, elastomers, composites, coatings, adhesives and films. Polymers are large molecules made up of repeating units. Their large size give the molecules very special properties.
