The United States of America is a country with a rich and exciting history. Despite its comparatively short existence of around 230 years, it has had a major impact on the world, as a superpower of the 20th century.

Canada is a Commonwealth nation in North America. It has a small population, but is the world's second biggest country. It boasts a diverse and vibrant culture. There are also many sites of beauty, from forests to glaciers.

Mexico is located below the United States. Despite the fact that much of it is desert, there are many natural resources and historical sites.

The programs of this Department focus on exploring the history of the United States, Canada, and Mexico, in addition to their impact on the world around us. We invite all who wish to learn about North America to enroll in our courses and participate in discussions. We will be working on creating a list of individuals that are interested in teaching about US and Canadian History. If this describes you, please consider teaching a course or mentoring students. This page has been designed to contain relevant information about the Department. Feel free to update any section if it is horribly outdated.
