While it is true that Wikiversity is not an encyclopedia, wikipedians have tried to use the name of this template to mark articles for clean-up, so this template exists to meet the intent if not the letter of such clean-up tagging. If this template is used, no reference to an "encyclopedia" actually appears on the page.

This template will add tagged articles to Category:Articles for clean-up.
