I followed the howto and created a test page. A couple of notes and questions...
- Is there any way to use templates or includes to synchronize /Blog and /Blog/rss instead of manually entering the new item twice?
- When I click on the RSS icon in Firefox on Windows XP I get a popup "Opening index.php" asking "What should Firefox do with this file?" In Opera on Solaris the popup box asks "Open or Save the file?" (and shows a mime type of "text/x-wiki")
- I subscribed to User:Chrismo/Blog but the date info in my RSS reader does not seem to match the info in the User:Chrismo/Blog/rss page.
- It would be helpful to include information here on what the <link> and <guid> etc. markup does.

Chrismo: i've added §ion=new to the add entry url on my test of mediawiki blogging over at wikieducator to automatically give me a headline field for new blog posts (same as the [+] on talk pages). Nice hack too by the way :-) BrentSimpson 09:22, 31 January 2007 (UTC)
