The need for a learning resource for Positive Psychology on Wikiversity[edit source]

Positive Psychology is an ever increasing school of psychology and yet there is no official course taught at university institutions throughout Australia, let alone on Wikiversity. This comes as a surprise, considering its recent prominence in the field of psychology. To enable people to learn about Positive Psychology I propose that a course be collaborated on Wikiversity. However, since I am not a formal educator I propose/write this course in good faith. Below I have placed a few key areas that I suggest to overview within this course:

  • What is Positive Psychology? (Introduction)
  • History of Positive Psychogy
  • Resilience
  • Mindfulness (and Meditation)
  • Learned Optimism
  • Self-esteem and Self-kindness
  • Finding your Passion / Flow
  • Creativity
  • Positive Psychology in the workplace

Assignments and Participants[edit source]

I would want to write this course so people can actively participate and gain a ground understanding of Positive Psychology. An idea that came to mind would be to set up the course to enable participants to write and share assignments through their blog/userspace on wikiversity.
