What does phasor multiplication mean?


Let A(t) = cos(w t + a), and B(t) = cos(wt + b) then in phasor domain A = exp(ia), B = exp(ib).

What is A * B in phasor? Can we write A * B = exp(i(a+b))?

cos(w t + a) cos(w t + b) is not equal to cos(w t + a + b)!!!!!

I think a phasor can be multiplied by a constant without a problem but when you multiply two phasor represented numbers, the result is not phasor.

Agreed. Phasor multiplication/division makes no sense here.
