Research[edit source]

I think it might be a good idea to have a research section. There, we can post proposed, current and completed research projects. Thoughts? Endless melee 18:18, 15 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]

I agree. Take a look at this and this. --JWSurf 16:11, 17 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]

I'd like to make something like the Wikiversity:School of Engineering:Help Desk as soon as Wikiversity has its own domain. --JWSurf 23:13, 30 November 2005 (UTC)[reply]

Reorganization[edit source]

I think it might be a good idea to reorganize this page so that instead of listing courses here, we can list departments. Biology is a massive field and each of its subfields deserve their own section, I think. So instead of listing a bunch of courses in tropical biology we can have a tropical biology department and all the tropical bio courses can be listed there. What do you guys think?

Nobody seems to post here, but I'll wait and see what everybody thinks before proceeding. Wikiversity is so exciting!

Resource[edit source]

Instead of trying to guess which Departments this would be useful in, I'm just going to post this here and let you Biology folks use it where appropriate. I just thought that this could provide a nice learning tool concerning matters of human cell biology/chemistry/etc. The Jade Knight 03:18, 25 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]

History of Biology[edit source]

I have the formatting done. Now for the fun part! (and yes, I'd rather stay anonymous) 68.4.3.164 19:54, 26 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]

If you create a use account you are actually still "anonymous" in the sense that you need tell us nothing about your real world identity; also, your IP address will not be shown. --JWSchmidt 20:11, 26 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Collaboration with other schools[edit source]

Would anyone in the school of biology like to start collaborating on projects that apply to both of our disciplines, such as physiology and anatomy pages? What I am suggesting is that the school of biology should to consider working with other schools on departments that cross disciplines. For example:

  • The schools of biology, medicine, dentistry, nursing and pharmacy could develop the department of Physiology into a department which offers a course within the school of biology as well as modules within the other mentioned courses

Similar things could work between the school of biology and these school with regards to other departments. This would not only lighten the load for all concerned but could also expedient the completion of our individual projects making th Life Sciences Portal a very happy place :)

Any Comments??? Go raibh mile maith agaibh 23:34, 22 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]
