Well, my nick is publunch and my home page is here. I studied philosophy at The Open University, and at Birkbeck College which is part of the University of London, and at the University of Sussex, all based in England. The Open University pioneered 'distance learning', and I found that worked for me. Birkbeck College is a college specialising in part-time and evening education, while the University of Sussex is a more conventional university. I think I can get quite enthusiastic about the Wikiversity as a new venture bringing learning to places it would not otherwise reach, pioneering in the same kind of way as The Open University has done.

After leaving Sussex University, I had a nervous breakdown from which I have not yet fully recovered, and perhaps helping make Wikiversity happen will help me regain some kind of confidence. As nobody expects me to do paid work at the moment, I may have time to help make Wikiversity happen.

I think I can help at a junior faculty sort of level in making courses in logic and philosophy of mind happen, but I know I can't do all the work myself.

Hello to all in wikiland, I'm new to the wiki experience, but I do think that this is a great idea, and I have a passion for philosophy, particularly the later Wittgenstein and a smattering of Continental thinkers (Derrida, Deleuze and Heidegger being my current favorites). I'm currently studying philosophy at undergraduate level, and I will try to impart some of what I have learned so far over the coming months.

Greets, wiksters. I started out as an artist and sci-fi writer, and didn't come into philosophy until I had read Sophie's World by Jostein Gaarder. Something in it lit a fire under my butt. Now I'm an undergrad at the University of Western Ontario, almost finished an honors BA. Afterwards I plan to go into journalism.

Hey. I am 17 years old and hence have no formal degrees. Nevertheless Philosophy is a subject which has consumed most of my spare time for the last four years now. I am going to construct a broad readings course based on "The classics" ( the critique of pure reason, the blue and brown books etc). I also plan to create a philosophy of mind and a philosophy of religion course. I also "work" at the department of liteature where I've created a course on T.S Eliot. When I get a bit of time I plan to do a "Philosophy and poetry" course which I will run at both the English department and here. I believe Wikiversity is important for a simple reason, knowledge is the death of tyranny.
