[edit] Parsimony in Game Development
Parsimony is the concept of doing only what is necessary to achieve the desired effect. Through the process of playtesting, refining, and tightening your game design, you hopefully achieve parsimony that makes it easier to understand and enjoy the central theme and mechanics of your game.
