Media Planning is a very dynamic stream of study within the Adversting & Marketing domain. Much of the knowledge base has remain confined to the practical learning on the job. But there is a need to get that tacit knowledge well documented so that it evolves as a field of study and also Career Option.
Mansoor Zaidi Media planning is all about reaching the target consumers and saving ad-spend by optimising per individual cost and must be based on reliable research.Also the readers,viewers,and OOH habits and prevailing trends which change very frequently due to weather and other reasons which create the impact.Media especially electronics and print keep a steady loyality of their consumers/viewers however when some thing is not reported or missed and some one else informs the person it creats a temperory shif and disloyality.So the media planners must keep themselves well informed. The planners must have enough knowledge to take research firm into confidence to look at other options for new avenues and explore out of the box thinking.
