This is a short course that will teach you the basics of Esperanto. If you click on the "Before you begin, sign up with a tutor." link it will give you more information about the course and tell you how to get in touch with someone who can help you learn.

This course offers learning activities to help you understand, speak, and write in Esperanto and, if you choose, go one step further and take the more advanced course La Gerda-kurso.

• Upon successful completion of the ten lessons, you will receive an "eternal" web diploma, which you can view, print out and send to your friends
