Pre-existing materials[edit | edit source]

To determine if pre-existing materials will work for your needs, you must look at your learning objectives. With these objectives in mind, evaluate the materials based upon these factors:

  • adequate motivation
  • appropriate content
  • correct sequencing
  • all required information is present
  • contains practice exercises
  • feedback mechanism included
  • tests are available
  • directions are included
  • learner guidance when moving from sequence to the next

If the materials lack one or more items, adapt to meet those needs if possible.
