Identification [edit]
Higher Technological Institute (HTI) was established by a ministerial decision issued on 27/10/1988, according to the law of private higher institutes No. 52 for in 1970, the first academic year started on 21/9/1988.
The school educational system is based on Credit Hours (Carnegie Unit) or simply "Unit" as referred to by students and staff in campus.
The HTI has three branches:
- 10th of Ramdan City (Main Campus)
- 6th of October City Campus
- Mersa Matruh City Campus

The HTI offers two engineering degrees; Diploma and Bachelor degrees; both degrees require a 44 units preparatory program to be passed before graduation. However; it is recommended to finish most of it before declaring a major as most of its courses are prerequisites for major courses.
