A picture showing the different methods for striking a person. The picture was based on a image in the book "Pencak Silat" by Joep Caverlé. A next version of the image should include other body parts (used in other martial arts as thai-boxing, aikido) as the forehead, knee, hip joint, and shoulder. The indicators show: 1: front of the fist 2: back of the fist 3: knuckle of the thumb 4: knuckle of the middle finger 5: tip of middle and fore-finger 6 and 7: left and right side of the hand 8: tip of middle finger, forefinger and ring finger (stab) 9: carpus 10: palm of the hand 11: wrist 12: tip of middle finger, forefinger, ring-finger and little finger (tigerclaw) 13: knuckle of middle finger, forefinger, ring-finger and little finger 14: fore-arm 15: back of the elbow (pull) 16: front of the elbow (push) 17: ball of the foot 18: heel 19: shin-bone calf 20: shin-bone heel 21: instep 22: foot sole and left side of the foot (on left leg; right on right leg) |
