[edit] Rules

  1. The debate will last over a period of 30 days, after which it will be followed by a 7-day period of voting.
  2. The first 28 days will be split into four weeks, each of which will have its own subtopic.
  3. The two opponents will alternate starting a subtopic; thus each will begin two subtopics.
  4. Each subtopic will be broken down into seven days, throughout which the debaters will alternate responses. For example, if opponent 1 started on Monday, opponent 2 would respond on Tuesday. Opponent 1 would then continue on Wednesday, the alternating pattern enduring until Sunday
  5. After the 28 days of debate, two more days are allocated to provide closing responses.
