Copywriting for online media has especially taken on importance with the explosive emergence of digital media. Online copywriters engage in brand messaging, and seek to communicate and persuade online consumers to a specified direct response action, resulting in traffic to websites. Copywriters persuasively motivate online consumers to purchase by utilizing effective direct response copywriting, coupled with a myriad of online technologies designed to drive exposure, traffic, conversions and online activity that generates a satisfactory return on investment (ROI) for the webmaster or site owner.

There are a variety of credible tools and resources available to assist the aspiring online copywriter to pursue a career within the lucrative opportunities of e-commerce.
