Who are our customers?

Two ways we can go about this. We have to discuss. I prefer option 1 because the staff of Projeto Iauaretê would not have to spend more than 7 days working with consumers, which is time, physically and mentally consuming. And will also be an overload of work because we are going to be doing research at the same time that we will be receiving and training consumers.
Option 1 – higher prices, fewer customers
Focus on high income individuals. I made an estimate of the price of the 9 day package and that would add to around $ 7000 usd per tourist (I will post a table with the data I used to achieve this estimate). At this rate we only need 10 tourists per year to make the enterprise viable. Our services are going to be bought by individuals in a high income class that are interested in knowing the Amazon, are interested in research, conservation, big cats, social development and poverty alleviation. I am guessing that customers will be in the 35-55 age class.
Option 2 – lower prices, more customers
Focus on individuals that are not so high income. This will probably mean that customers will be younger, I guess that the majority in the 20-45 age class. As you can see on the table for price estimation, the cuts will have to be made in the revenue portion of research and/or community income. If we decrease income by half we would have to double the number of tourists.
