Central tendency

Central tendency refers to descriptive statistics for identifying the "middle" points in data distributions. Common measures of central tendency include:

  1. (Arithmetic) mean (or average)
  2. Mode (the most commonly occuring score)
  3. Median (the 50th percentile)
