Language & languages[edit source]

What belongs in cat:Languages, and what belongs in cat:Language? The Jade Knight 22:34, 7 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]

This "Language" page should be renamed "Syntax" or something...I'm going to move all the pages in "Languages" to "Foreign Language Learning". Ugh. I'm trying to re-categorize this stuff so that the categories can actually be used as effective ways to navigate Wikiversity. --Trinity507 21:16, 21 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]

I'll try to merge "Category:Languages" and "Category:Language" to erase confusion between the two. (if that's possible) Let "Category:English" or syntax be a subcategory of this. There is little activity on this page, so I'll just try to do this. Sidelight12 Talk 09:04, 5 December 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Foreign language could be meant to say non-English language in most causes. That rarely can cause a problem, unless the definition of that is foreign to the English language and not any particular country. Which is fine by me. Other categories should land under Language. Whether it be non-english language, foreign language, English or syntax to clear up a lot of over categorization. Sidelight12 Talk 09:53, 5 December 2012 (UTC)[reply]
