### Energy = Movement

When the Author tried to figure an explanation of how evolution is possible then the obvious answer was through energy. But he could not find a real answer to what energy was. The only way to include power in happenings was to use the word 'energy' which could be exchanged by everybody in his mind with what he 'knows' energy is or in mathematical formulas by expressing it through an abstract number. But I don't know of any detailed explanation of every energy by itself. To separate different forms of energies the words work, heat, movement, potential, kinetic and others are used to give a better description. Even each one can be expressed mathematically through its symptoms its creates the only one, which seem to have the possibility to separate each one individually, is movement. Each movement can be defined through its mass, speed, direction, strength and occurence. Some of it are interdependent and can therefore be left out when another one is present.
But to use energy as an answer on how something physical, which cannot see, hear or feel like a human, know with what energy it is confronted with (to which it can react specific) there has to be a set of physical properties which make it possible to distinguish between energies. And the properties which describe each movement individually fit also energy. Therefore it seems save to exchange energy (abstract) with movement (real) where traditionally energy has been used for an explanation.

### The build up of matter

When it was discovered that the atom is not a solid matter but build of other particles then the question of how the atom is constructed needed to be answered. There were two models which were in consideration. The 'plum pudding' and the 'nuclear' model. Short, a space filled with matter and a mostly empty space. To get the answer, in 1911 Ratherford made a test. He shot alpha particles into a very thin gold plate and conluded his answer from the effect it had. Most alpha particles went right through and only some where deflected in different direction. He figured that since most went through the atom must be empty and the one which were deflected struck the nucleus. Or so he and other people thought. Apparently he had not seen a Newton Cradle in action. Otherwise he might have needed to consider that the alpha particles passed on a characteristic energy to the gold plate, which was passed through and catapulted like particles out on the other side. Which would have been another possibility and the test could not have been answered. Since the passed on energy can also be diverted in different direction the reflections could have been explained.
